"God So Loved" Bible Study
(Read and Complete Below)

God is love.1 John 4:8 Human beings naturally have a desire to know what love is. Our creator placed that within every one of us as a bonus or a headstart so to speak. Since God is love, believing while not seeing is having faith and that faith is in God. So He gives us a measure of belief in Him who is love.(Romans 12:3) Some may disagree or some may choose not to believe in a power that has created us or some may just believe that there is some higher power but not a power called God that is the creator of all things. Truth is, there is a God, a creator, a power. There is a creator of all things in the heavens and the earth and He topped it all off with Love.

This same God thousands of years ago along with His Son, began to discuss us and a world of human beings to be made in His image.  Angels were not involved in this discussion and planning. One lead angel became jealous, prideful, and envious of this planning session and we find that he rebelled and caused other angels to rebel with him. (Isaiah 14:12-14) Lucifer was his name and when sin developed in his heart, while God could have destroyed him, He did not. He removed him from heaven though. Revelation 12:12 says, “Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.”

Lucifer was cast out. Once our world was created, Satan made his way here to this world earth, determined to be what he wanted to be in heaven - the ultimate leader. We then find that after the first man and woman were created, Satan caused them to sin. We know that in Genesis 2:16-17 God shared with man just how sin works. He told them not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and if they did this, death would become a reality to all mankind. We find in Genesis 3 where Adam and Eve did exactly what God told them not to do.

God explained that now death has entered the world. But God did not leave it there. He did not leave Adam and Eve to just suffer and die. He told them that He would send His Son. But first, in Genesis 3:15, He pronounced judgment on Satan when He said, “I will put enmity between thee and the woman.” This means that there will now be a struggle between Satan’s kingdom and God’s kingdom on earth, His church. Prophetically, “woman” in the Bible often means His church - His people. Read Jeremiah 6:2; 2 Corinthians 11:2; Ephesians 5:23-27. “And between thy seed and her seed.” Read Revelation 12:1-5 and Galatians 3:16, 19. Jesus is the seed. This seed Jesus will “bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” This means that Jesus coming to this earth wins the entire victory. See Hebrews 2:14. Bruise is another word for "crush" or "lie in wait for." Because of God’s love for all mankind, Jesus came to this earth to be born, raised, and live among us. Read John 1: 1-14 He came here to defeat and destroy forever the temporary evil and sinful world led by the devil.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16 Because this world was doomed without Jesus, He came here to save us from our sins. "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."Romans 6:23

Jesus died on the cross. He made the ultimate sacrifice for us that we might have a chance at eternal life and not be forever doomed to death.

Jesus is now in heaven ready, waiting, and willing to hear our prayers and to forgive them. See Hebrews 7:25 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

Jesus is calling on us His people to humble ourselves and turn to Him. If we turn away from living contrary to Him He will hear us, forgive us and heal us.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”1 John 1:9 “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” John 3:17 He promises that He will forgive us for our wrongdoing and He will wash away our sinful past, and cause us to live and be like Him. Will that be your desire and testimony today?
